How it works
Transform — converted via the NAD+ salvage pathway into NAD+/NADH, a central cofactor for mitochondrial electron transport and ATP production
Maintain — NAD+ also serves as a substrate for sirtuin and PARP enzymes involved in DNA repair and cellular upkeep
Exchange — unlike nicotinic acid (the other niacin form), niacinamide does not cause the histamine-mediated skin-flushing reaction, which is why it is the form chosen for products like NAD-Power that aim for a comfortable daily-use experience rather than the flush associated with high-dose nicotinic acid therapy

Form matters
The same nutrient can be made in very different forms — and a study done on one form does not automatically apply to another.
