6S Safety Testing
6S Process
The 6S Quality Process is our proprietary framework for ensuring Safety, Sourcing, Standardization, Specification, Substantiation, and Stability in every product we formulate. It’s the reason Pharmanex became the first supplement company listed in the Physician’s Desk Reference and why our formulas are used by healthcare professionals worldwide.
With over 70 full-time scientists, in-house soil testing teams, and pharmaceutical-grade labs, we don’t just make supplements—we engineer health at the cellular level.
Each “S” in the 6S process represents a core pillar of our commitment to clinical-grade supplementation:
Selection – Choosing the right raw materials from the right regions with the right nutrient profile.
Sourcing – Partnering with farmers, soil scientists, and botanists to ensure high-potency, contaminant-free crops.
Specification – Defining exact potency and bioactivity standards for every ingredient.
Standardization – Ensuring each batch contains consistent levels of active compounds.
Stability – Confirming that nutrients stay potent and effective through shelf life using real-time and accelerated testing.
Substantiation – Backing every formula with peer-reviewed, human clinical trials on the final product—not just borrowed science.
Pharmanex products are manufactured using the same lab equipment, protocols, and documentation systems used in the pharmaceutical industry. We test every ingredient batch and every finished product batch for purity, potency, identity, and safety.
Equipment:
ICP-MS (Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry)
ICP-OES (Optical Emission Spectroscopy)
Purpose:
Detects heavy metals like lead, arsenic, cadmium, and mercury down to parts per billion (ppb). Our thresholds exceed USP, NSF, and EU safety standards.
Equipment:
- HPLC & UPLC (High/Ultra-Performance Liquid Chromatography)
- Mass Spectrometry (MS)
Purpose:
Confirms the correct clinical dose of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and phytonutrients. We don’t just verify presence—we measure bioactive content and test for degradation over time.
Equipment:
Accelerated Stability Chambers (temp/humidity stress)
Real-Time Stability Storage
UV-Vis Spectrophotometers
Gas Chromatography (GC)
Purpose:
Simulates months to years of storage to validate potency, flavor, texture, and color. Also tests packaging integrity under heat, light, and moisture.
FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy): Verifies identity of raw ingredients
Microbial testing & PCR: Screens for bacteria, mold, yeast, and pathogens
Moisture & pH analyzers: Ensure product integrity for powders, softgels, and liquids
Organoleptic testing: Confirms taste, smell, texture, and color consistency
Our commitment to safety starts before an ingredient is harvested.
With help from soil scientists, we audit growing conditions to ensure ingredients are free from pesticide drift, heavy metals, and nutrient-depleted soil.
Every plant extract, botanical powder, and whole-food source is tested for soil nutrient density, toxicity, and active compound yield—because healthy inputs lead to healthy outcomes.
Most supplement brands lean on borrowed research.
We fund and publish our own clinical trials—on the finished formulas, not just the ingredients.
LifePak™, for example, has:
Over 30 years of published clinical research
Listing in the Physician’s Desk Reference
Independent verification of absorption via the BioPhotonic Scanner
Demonstrated improvement in oxidative stress biomarkers
The nutrients in Pharmanex products—vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and carotenoids—are naturally present in the human body. When taken in clinically supported doses, they do not carry side effects. What’s dangerous isn’t using them—it’s living without them.
Most supplements promise purity.
We prove it—batch by batch, gram by gram.
This is clinical-grade nutrition, not hype.
Pharmanex is the only company in the industry with:
Pharmaceutical testing infrastructure
Ingredient-to-finished-product batch validation
Soil-to-cell traceability
Peer-reviewed human clinical trials
Guaranteed bioavailability and antioxidant absorption
You don’t have to guess. We test. You heal.
