How it works

  • Sense — plasma tyrosine availability is a rate-influencing input the brain uses to gauge catecholamine synthesis capacity, especially under acute stress or cognitive load

  • Exchange — crosses the blood-brain barrier via the large neutral amino acid transporter, competing with tryptophan and BCAAs for uptake

  • Build — the direct precursor used to synthesize dopamine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine, and is also incorporated into thyroid hormone structure

  • Feel — precursor to dopamine, a neurotransmitter tied to motivation and reward-related mood states

  • Process — catecholamine (dopamine/norepinephrine) synthesis from tyrosine is studied for supporting working memory and cognitive performance under stress or sleep deprivation

Form matters

The same nutrient can be made in very different forms — and a study done on one form does not automatically apply to another. Methylcobalamin is not cyanocobalamin; magnesium glycinate is not magnesium oxide; a whole-food extract is not the synthetic isolate that was studied. Two things decide whether what is in the bottle behaves like the research: the exact form, and independent lab verification (a Certificate of Analysis) that the form and dose on the label are truly what is inside. Without a COA, you are trusting a label, not the science.
