Large dementia-prevention trials of standardized ginkgo (GEM trial) found no prevention of dementia in healthy older adults; results do not establish benefit in healthy adults broadly, and BioGinkgo's standardization differs from the most-studied EGb 761 product. Bleeding/anticoagulant-interaction caution applies. Structure/function only.
How it works
Exchange — flavone glycosides and terpene lactones are studied for supporting peripheral and cerebral microcirculation
Maintain — antioxidant activity that may limit oxidative damage to vascular endothelium
Process — some symptom-focused human trials and meta-analyses report modest cognitive benefit in selected populations
Perceive — peripheral/ocular circulation support is the mechanistic rationale for its inclusion in Eye Formula
Form matters
The same nutrient can be made in very different forms — and a study done on one form does not automatically apply to another. Methylcobalamin is not cyanocobalamin; magnesium glycinate is not magnesium oxide; a whole-food extract is not the synthetic isolate that was studied. Two things decide whether what is in the bottle behaves like the research: the exact form, and independent lab verification (a Certificate of Analysis) that the form and dose on the label are truly what is inside. Without a COA, you are trusting a label, not the science.
